G. Kane Jennings, associate professor of chemical engineering, was one of 10 recipients of the Chancellor’s Research Award in August, 2006. He won for his article "pH-Responsive Copolymer Films by Surface-Catalyzed Growth," published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society.

Three Chemical Engineering Seniors did extremely well at the undergraduate poster session at the 2006 AIChE Annual Meeting:

Evan Graybill placed first in the Fuels, Petrochemicals and Energy Division. He did his research with Professor Kane Jennings.

Ben Murphy placed first in the Food, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Division. He did his research in the REU program at the University of Colorado.

Matt Earnest placed third in the Computing and Process Control Division. He did his research with Professor Clare McCabe.
