Hometown: Memphis, Tenn.

Outside interests/activities:
Molecular modeling research, Vanderbilt club volleyball.

Why Vanderbilt?
While it’s a large and well-renowned research university, it still offers small classes and as much interaction with professors as anyone could want.  Vanderbilt is also committed to admitting people with diverse backgrounds and interests, but who all contribute to the intellectual community.

Likes best about Vanderbilt Engineering:
The excellent training I receive and the helpful career center.

Likes best about Vanderbilt Chemical Engineering:
The curriculum, and the knowledge and availability of the chemical engineering faculty.

Likes best about Nashville:
It is not too cold! Also, it is a big enough town that there is plenty to do, but not so big that traffic and parking become a major a concern.

What do you expect to do after graduation?
Work for GE Energy in their Edison Engineering development program and simultaneously work on a Master's in chemical engineering at North Carolina State University
