Why Vanderbilt?
Vanderbilt presented me with the total package: close to home, a unique environment that fosters learning, and it’s a top 20 academic school.
Likes best about Vanderbilt Engineering:
Vanderbilt offers a variety of disciplines within its engineering program. This allows a student who may be unsure about which type of engineering he or she wants to pursue to explore and find a place in the engineering school community.
Likes best about Vanderbilt Chemical Engineering:
The Vanderbilt chemical engineering program offers small class sizes. For me, this was a positive because of the challenging engineering curriculum. I have also found much value in developing relationships with my fellow classmates, which will turn into lasting friendships. Sharing perspectives allows me to better understand my assignments and, as a result, improves my grades.
Likes best about Nashville:
Nashville offers the best of both worlds. It has a great city environment that allows you to enjoy good music, food and art while still offering outdoor activities as well.
What do you expect to do after graduation?
I would like to continue my education and either receive a medical degree and practice medicine as a pulmonologist or receive a PhD in chemical engineering.
